Pee Gee Hydrangea

Hydrangea paniculata 'Grandiflora'

 

1-3 years old, 18-24 inches tall.

 

The Pee Gee can be grown as either a tree or a shrub, depending on pruning.  As a tree it can reach heights of 20 feet as well as widths.  It is a fast grower, of about 2 feet per year.  It does best in full sun and partial shade and will grow in various soil types as long as they are slightly acidic and well-drained.
