• Forsythia x intermedia


    1-3 years old, 8-12 inches tall.


    If planting to create a hedge, it is best to space the shrubs about 4-6 feet apart.  Forsythia grows to 8-10 feet tall and 10-12 feet wide at maturity.


    Full sun and partial shade are best (meaning at least 4 hours of direct, unfiltered light per day).


    The forsythia grows in acidic, alkaline, loamy, moist, rich, sandy, silty loam and well-drained soil.
